Humble Beginnings, Industrial Expertise
Motorelli was founded in 1996 as a family business in Cape Town. Since then, we have grown into one of South Africa’s leading suppliers of Electric Motors, Variable Speed Drives and Gearboxes. Today, we serve customers across South Africa and throughout Africa.
From the beginning, our focus has been simple: deliver reliable products, expert advice and dependable technical support.
Over the years, Motorelli has expanded its footprint across South Africa. We now operate multiple branches and supply a wide range of industrial electric motors and drive solutions.
Our motors are manufactured in a high-tech facility in China that spans more than 25 000 square metres. The factory follows strict international standards, including IEC, ISO, SABS, CCC, CECP and CE compliance.
Because different industries require different specifications, we carefully define materials, dimensions and performance standards during manufacturing. As a result, our products are specifically designed for South African mining, agriculture, OEM, industrial, marine and HVAC markets.
Quality remains central to everything we do. Our automated production lines use advanced machinery, testing equipment and strict quality control systems.
In addition, our full product range meets SABS 1804 certification requirements. This ensures consistent performance, safety and reliability across all our electric motors, VSDs and gearbox solutions.

Industrial Electric Motors
We stock a comprehensive range of SABS-approved electric motors, ranging from 0.18 kW to 355 kW, with larger motors up to 15,000 kW available on request directly from the factory.
Our motors are available in multiple speed configurations, including 2-pole, 4-pole, 6-pole and 8-pole, with higher or lower speed options available on request. Motors are supplied in foot-mounted or foot-and-flange-mounted configurations and are available as three-phase 400 V / 550 V or single-phase 230 V motors.
